Here at Make and Create Arts we are incredibly proud of our fantastic line up of tutors and Young Leaders. 

All of our tutors are highly qualified but even better than that, they have incredible real life experience that they can bring to our students! 

ART TUTORS

Hannah graduated from Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen in 2011 and the following year she started Make and Create Arts! She is our Youth Coordinator and loves working with our young members and listening to all their ideas!

She also works as a Community Arts Tutor for CultureNL and has many years of experience teaching Art & Drama in the Community.

HANNAH
RUTH

A former student of Make and Create Arts back in 2012, Ruth is now one of our top tutors leading both her arts and crafts class on Monday nights and the Drama Kids on Thursday nights. Ruth found her passion for the arts as a student at the Colin Scougall Theatre School where she also became a Young Leader. She is also currently studying Business Studies at City of Glasgow College.

CARINA

Carina joined us in 2017 and has been wowing us all with her multitude of talents! A graduate from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Carina, leads our Young Film Makers class both in practical sessions and theory with her fantastic ‘Into Film’ sessions. As well as leading Drawing Skills you will sometimes find her in the Arts & Crafts class sharing her skills in model making!

MEGAN

Megan joined Make and Create Arts as a Duke of Edinburgh volunteer and enjoyed it so much she decided to stay!
An incredibly talented young artist, Megan loves sharing her passion for drawing with our students and always encourages our little artists to be the best that they can be. We are really lucky to have her on the team.

FILM MAKING TUTORS

CARINA

Carina joined us in 2017 and has been wowing us all with her multitude of talents! YVETTE

Yvette is a graduate from Napier University with a first class Honours Degree in Television. Yvette joined the team in 2018 and has been bringing her incredible talent to and experience to our Young Film Makers class.

A passionate Animal Activist, Yvette runs her own YouTube channel where she Vlogs about all things Animal!

CHRIS

An incredible Young Film Maker, Chris has been making his own films for many years.
An experienced event photographer and videographer, Chris brings a wealth of real life experience to our students.
Need to know how to use your new Apple products? Chris is also a certified Apple Teacher and keeps us all up to date with the latest Apple equipment skills!   

ALICE

Alice is an Airdrie based Film Maker and also a Creative Industries, TV & Film graduate from Cumbernauld College. Her passion for film has led her to working closely with projects in the community such as NTS's production of SHIFT. Alice's own film "The Walk" was nominated for Best Drama at the FilmG awards in 2016. Joining us in 2016 to run our succesful Flim Making trial project, Alice now runs our weekly Young Film Makers class every Monday night.

EMMA
Young Leader

Emma first joined Make and Create Arts as a student in 2014 she has been a student in our Arts & Crafts class, Teen Art class and was one of the first students in our Young Film Makers Class.
Emma loves helping new students to feel at home in the Young Film Makers class and sharing all her film making knowledge too!

DRAMA TUTORS

JOHN

John is an Actor/Writer based in Airdrie and an Acting & English graduate of Edinburgh Napier University. He is a founding member of Glass Knuckles Productions, an Edinburgh based production company. His show Deep Fried, which he co-wrote with Kyle Hamill, sold out 13 shows in Edinburgh and Glasgow in 2017. Having joined us in 2016 when we started our Drama Kids class, he now leads our Youth Theatre class on Thursday nights.

GREGOR

Gregor is a Glasgow based Actor/Writer and a founding member of sketch comedy group ‘Weegie Hink Ae That’ who have sold out shows throughout Glasgow and Edinburgh. He has recently graduated with a degree in Acting for Stage and Screen from Queen Margaret University. He is currently busy writing something very special just for us. Keep your eyes peeled for more info on this TOP SECRET project

RUTH

JENNA

Jenna is a Coatbridge based Actress who is also studying Acting & Performance at Glasgow Kelvin College. Joining us in 2016, Jenna is a regular tutor at our Drama Kids class on Thursday nights. Since graduating from the Colin Scougall Theatre School, Jenna has had a huge passion for acting, dancing and singing and hopes to nurture our students creative talents.

Cara joined Make and Create Arts as a student in 2016 and is now one of our Young Leaders.
Both an incredible actress and singer, Cara loves working with our Young Drama students and sharing her love of performance. 
Not only can she act and sing, Cara also helped to choreograph the Drama Kids first ever show "Annie"

KYLE

Kyle is a Coatbridge based Writer who co-wrote Deep Fried, a production which enjoyed sell out production throughout Glasgow and Edinburgh. Graduating from Stirling University with a degree in English and Philosophy, Kyle has brought his talent and passion for creative writing to Make and Create Arts with his brand new Creative Writing class on Monday nights. His enthusiastic approach has inspired our students to let their imaginations run wild!

Hannah B

Hannah B is an experienced and passionate freelance editor and writer based in Glasgow with a keen interest in Scottish culture and heritage. A graduate from The University of Strathclyde with a BA in English Literature, she has plenty of experienced in Journalism and Creative Writing. We are very excited to have Hannah B on our Creative Writing team, sharing her skills and experience with our young writers!
